Is the 2019 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Fusion earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfort, stylish looks, and the amount of equipment you get for the price, and many also like its powerful performance in higher trims. Is the 2019 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the Fusion as comfortable and dependable, with many noting that it feels like a car they can count on over time. The owner feedback also points to trouble-free ownership for many shoppers, especially when the car has been maintained well. For used buyers, that makes condition and service history especially important, since long-term ownership risk is usually tied more to how a specific car was cared for than to the model name alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Fusion?

At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden bodywork, mechanical wear, or repair quality issues. Focus closely on exterior panels, interior condition, and signs of uneven wear, since those details can tell you a lot about how the car was treated. If a listing looks especially clean and priced well, make sure the paperwork and inspection support what you see.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,794 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,301, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $12,301 sits slightly below last year's $13,517.

That price movement suggests the Fusion has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a lower entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on how well the car is maintained and how clean its history is. If you keep mileage reasonable and preserve condition, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $11,387, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $12,301 average.
• It offers exceptional lineup variety across gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, luxury, and sport-oriented versions.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and deal availability. If your top priority is spending less up front, the 2018 is the better value-focused alternative.
