Is the 2019 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people enjoy living with over time, especially for its dependable-feeling performance and comfortable driving experience. That said, some shoppers note concerns around gas mileage and acceleration-related traction issues, so used buyers should pay attention to how the car has been maintained and driven. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the concept and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Charger?

At 50.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially appealing on price. Focus on body condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since those details can reveal whether the car has been cared for or simply priced aggressively.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,899 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,423, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $19,808 sits slightly below last year's $20,759.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you own one for a few years, the strongest examples will be the ones with clean history, good maintenance, and broad buyer appeal. Cars that present well and feel well cared for should hold demand better than rougher examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,841, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,808 average.
• It blends retro muscle style with modern tech and available AWD.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,254, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,808 average.
• It adds spacious practicality with updated tech and available AWD.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better value play, while the 2020 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer example and can justify the premium.
