What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Challenger?

At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Because this model can be expensive to own, you should also pay close attention to wear items and overall mechanical condition.

What is the 2019 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with strong documentation should be easier to position competitively. Demand should remain supported by the model’s enthusiast appeal and broad popularity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $28,578, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,768 average.
• It adds new colors and a 50th Anniversary package for some trims.

The 2019 is the better value if you want a strong mix of price, inventory, and enthusiast appeal. If you can spend more and want the newer-year updates, the 2020 is the cleaner upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 remains the smarter starting point.
