What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 64.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden body, suspension, or repair issues. Focus closely on overall condition, especially signs of prior damage, uneven panel gaps, and wear that may not match the mileage. Because this model is often bought for family use, it is worth paying extra attention to how well the interior, electronics, and seating surfaces have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,322 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.34% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,217, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $17,217 sits slightly below last year's $19,419.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because buyers tend to reward clean, well-kept examples. A well-priced purchase today can still hold up reasonably well if you keep mileage, appearance, and service records in good shape.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,220, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,217 average.
• The redesign brought a larger, more useful, and more efficient package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall ownership signal and are comfortable shopping the current market, the 2019 is the better primary choice. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value path and still gives you the redesigned Traverse formula.
