Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 16.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,885 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out as a larger, bolder three-row midsize SUV with more space, especially in the third row, and a much larger infotainment touchscreen. Chevrolet also added more standard driver aids, which makes it feel more up to date as a family hauler.

The trade-offs are that it feels its size, the base LS trim is a little too basic, and the range-topping RS trim is pricey. If you want a roomy family SUV with strong tech and a more rugged look, this year’s Traverse fits that brief well.

32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is presented as a more modern and better-equipped version of the model, with more standard driver aids and a cabin that feels fully updated. Its powertrain is described as delivering more horsepower and torque than the outgoing V6, and the ride is described as exemplary.

Chevrolet also says the stop-and-start system works seamlessly, which is a small but useful sign of refinement in everyday driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its larger size and more complex tech may make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage examples or vehicles with added equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the most basic trim, while the LT adds more flexibility and is expected to be the most popular choice. The Z71 is aimed at buyers who want moderate off-road capability, and the RS is the priciest, most fully equipped version.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the outgoing V6. All-wheel drive is optional on every trim, and the Z71 gets a more advanced dual-clutch AWD setup.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Google-based software. Super Cruise is also offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Official EPA estimates range from 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for one configuration, down to 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway for another.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but it is described as a little too basic, so you should only choose it if price matters most and you are comfortable with a simpler setup.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it is expected to be the most popular and adds more flexibility, including a choice of second-row bench or captain’s chairs.
• Z71: Choose this if you want the most rugged version and plan to do some moderate off-roading; it also gets the more advanced AWD setup.
• RS: This is the top trim with nearly every available feature, but it is also the priciest, so it makes sense mainly if you want the most loaded Traverse.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, with no-cost driver aids standard on all models.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,885 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,501, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $37,501 sits slightly below last year's $44,703.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Because the Traverse has strong owner satisfaction and broad family appeal, well-kept examples should still attract buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet equips every model with a wide range of standard driver aids, including automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding hands-free driving capability on mapped roads.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a much larger touchscreen, more standard driver aids, and a roomier third row.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $39,505, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,501 average.
• It adds the High Country trim and standard trailering equipment.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the better value and can take advantage of the softer pricing. If you want the newer trim structure and standard towing equipment, the 2025 is the better fit, but you will pay more for it.
