CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Chevrolet Camaro
Summary
With 172 currently listed for sale and an average price of $28,598, 15.7% of 2019 Chevrolet Camaro listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro 4.79 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro stands out as a lighter, smaller, tauter, and more efficient take on Chevy’s long-running performance car, while still delivering the world-class power and driving dynamics that helped define the sixth generation. It rides on a platform shared with the Cadillac ATS, and Chevrolet’s goal for that architecture was to match or beat the best sport sedans from Germany. For buyers, that means the Camaro’s appeal is not just straight-line muscle but a more modern, capable chassis wrapped in faintly retro styling.
For 2019, Chevrolet also gave the Camaro a minor restyle that included a new bumper and grille, along with a new infotainment system. The 1LE Package became available with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine that year, broadening the car’s track-focused appeal. Owners’ enthusiasm lines up with that formula, with praise for the Camaro’s sporty design, powerful performance, handling, and enjoyable driving experience.
There are tradeoffs, though. The Camaro’s interiors are described as cheaply outfitted, and poor outward visibility is a known drawback. Even so, the 2019 model remains distinctive because it combines serious performance hardware, a sharper chassis, and updated tech in a package that still feels true to the Camaro name.

Its a cool car for whomever built it, however its a big risk to whomever is going to purchase it. This car is highly modified and the dealership doesnt have any information about where the work was done or whats actually done to it. Its a nice car but a risky investment

Great car to drive. Handles the road like a dream. Still some sight line issues but added anti collision safety features help. Power in the SS is massive and steady.

| Year-Round Low | $25,722 |
| Year-Round High | $28,829 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $28,832 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −6.30% |

There are 1,197 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.
Is the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro earns a 4.79/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sporty design, powerful performance, and enjoyable driving experience, and handling is another recurring strength. That lines up well with its use case as a lighter, smaller, more efficient performance car with updated tech and a sharper chassis. With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.
Is the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?
Owners rate it 4.79/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on performance that stays enjoyable over time and a driving experience people continue to value. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and condition before you buy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Camaro?
At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report on any Camaro you’re seriously considering and confirm whether prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past collision work, then make sure the car’s visibility, interior wear, and overall mechanical condition match the seller’s claims. Because this model is often bought for performance, it’s smart to focus on how it was driven and maintained, not just mileage.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Camaro?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.
- Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,197 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 59.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $25,722, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?
The current average of $27,016 sits slightly below last year's $28,832.
That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also suggests resale values may be under some pressure if the market stays loose. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more, because well-kept examples tend to stand out when prices are moving down. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for shoppers who want a performance car with a proven reputation.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.79/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.79/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $26,529, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $27,016 average.
- It adds a sleeper-like LT1 setup with SS hardware under understated sheet metal.
The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced mix of price, owner satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2019 is the primary pick. If you’re especially price-sensitive and want a lower entry point, the 2020 is worth a close look because it undercuts the 2019 average while adding a compelling performance-focused trim.
