Used 2019 Buick Envision for Sale nearSeattle, WA

How much does the 2019 Buick Envision cost?

Prices have softened 5.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 642 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Buick Envision earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, luxury features, smooth ride, spacious interior, and value compared with higher-end brands. That lines up with its positioning as a compact luxury SUV for younger luxury shoppers who want an upscale alternative without moving into a larger vehicle class. At the same time, the Envision’s appeal depends heavily on how it is equipped, and the price to get there can be hard to justify.

Only 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still asks you to be selective.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable ownership experience centered on comfort, luxury features, and a smooth ride. Reviewers also describe it as a vehicle you can count on for a spacious, stylish cabin and a premium feel relative to its badge. On the road, it comes across as composed and quiet, which supports the impression of a well-sorted daily driver.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is paying too much for the equipment level you want, especially if you shop higher trims.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Buick Envision?

At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the features you want are actually present, since the Envision’s value depends heavily on trim and options. It’s also worth comparing similar listings carefully, because the market includes a mix of clean and previously damaged vehicles.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim includes 18-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, heated front seats, and an 8-way power driver’s seat, while the Preferred trim adds little beyond more available option packages. The Essence adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, select driver-assistance features, and memory settings for the driver’s seat and side-view mirrors. The Premium AWD adds a Bose premium stereo, 19-inch aluminum wheels, bi-LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and an upgraded 8-inch semi-digital instrument panel, while the Premium II AWD adds heated and cooled front seats, a head-up display, navigation, leather seating, and all-wheel drive. The Premium AWD is the best-value choice if you want the strongest mix of equipment and capability.
• Powertrain: The FWD, Preferred, and Essence trims use a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 197 horsepower and an outdated 6-speed automatic transmission. The Premium and Premium II trims use a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a new 9-speed automatic and standard AWD. The stronger engine is the better fit if you want more confident acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes ten airbags, a reversing camera with Rear Park Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision alert, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat on the Premium and Premium II trims. The Driver Confidence Package is available only on the Premium II trim and adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front braking, and a 360-degree camera. Many of the more advanced features are not standard on lower trims.
• Infotainment: The Envision uses an 8-inch touchscreen with GM’s Intellilink system, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The layout is straightforward, and wireless charging is also available for compatible smartphones.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter FWD setup returns 22 mpg city and 29 highway, while the turbo AWD test model was rated at 20/25/22.

Which 2019 Buick Envision trim should I buy?

The 2019 Buick Envision is offered in 5 trim levels: the base—or Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD)—Envision, Preferred, Essence, Premium All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and Premium II AWD.

Here's the short version:

• Envision: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core luxury-SUV basics without much extra equipment. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable keeping expectations modest.
• Preferred: This trim doesn’t add much, but it opens up more option packages. It’s mainly for shoppers who want flexibility rather than a big equipment jump.
• Essence: This is the better everyday comfort pick if you want more convenience and driver-assistance content without jumping all the way to the top trims. The heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and memory settings make it feel more complete.
• Premium AWD: This is the trim CarGurus recommends, and it’s the best-value choice if you want the Envision to feel properly upscale. You get the stronger engine, AWD, the Bose stereo, upgraded lighting, rain-sensing wipers, and the better instrument panel.
• Premium II AWD: This is the most fully equipped version, with heated and cooled front seats, navigation, a head-up display, leather seating, and AWD. It’s the right pick if you want the most comfort and convenience, but it also pushes the price higher.

The Premium and Premium II trims carry the most complete safety and driver-assistance content, while the Driver Confidence Package is limited to the Premium II trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Buick Envision?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 642 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,996, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Buick Envision's resale value?

The current average of $16,996 sits slightly below last year's $18,024.

That decline suggests the Envision has softened in the used market, which can work in your favor as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a well-kept example with desirable equipment should be easier to move than one priced above the market. The strongest listings will be the ones that combine clean history, good condition, and the right trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Buick Envision safe?

The 2019 Buick Envision earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with ten airbags, a reversing camera with Rear Park Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision alert. The Premium and Premium II trims add GM’s Safety Alert Seat, and the Premium II trim is the only one available with the Driver Confidence Package, which includes adaptive cruise control, automatic front braking, and a 360-degree camera.

The main caveat is that many of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on lower trims, so you need to shop carefully if safety tech matters to you most.

Should I buy a 2019 Buick Envision or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 model stands out for its compact luxury-SUV positioning, smooth ride, and upscale-feeling cabin when equipped well.

The bottom line: If you want a used Envision with a softer price and a solid satisfaction record, the 2019 is a reasonable place to focus. If you’re especially price-sensitive, look for a clean, well-equipped example near the low end of the range; if you want the strongest overall value, prioritize the trims with the better engine and safety content.

How does the 2019 Buick Envision compare to the 2019 GMC Acadia?

Our experts score the 2019 Buick Envision 7.3/10 and the 2019 GMC Acadia 8/10. The Acadia has the edge in overall expert score and offers more listings, while the Envision has a slightly better accident-free share and a higher average used price. If you want the stronger value proposition and more inventory to choose from, the Acadia is the easier shop; if you prefer the Envision’s compact luxury-SUV feel, it remains the more upscale-leaning choice.
