How much does the 2019 BMW 8 Series cost?

There are 161 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 BMW 8 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW 8 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its impressive power, comfortable ride, stylish design, and advanced tech features. That makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury grand tourer that feels special both on the road and in your driveway. With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 BMW 8 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s enjoyable driving character and the confidence it inspires over time. That said, used luxury cars can carry higher long-term ownership risk if maintenance history is unclear, so you should prioritize well-documented examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW 8 Series?

At 72.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and focus first on accident records, title status, and service documentation. A pre-purchase inspection should prioritize bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent repairs. Because this is a premium performance car, condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 8 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,973, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 8 Series's resale value?

The current average of $44,382 sits slightly below last year's $47,558.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the recent decline means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because shoppers in this segment tend to reward strong presentation and clear ownership history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 8 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $40,158, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $44,382 average.
• It shifts toward a more driver-focused grand touring setup with added practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest owner satisfaction and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2019 is the better emotional buy. If your priority is lower entry cost, the 2020 is the smarter value path, especially if you want to spend less upfront while still staying in the same luxury performance family.
