overall

Summary
With 78 currently listed for sale and an average price of $20,707, 46.2% of 2019 Audi e-trons for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Audi e-tron 4.64 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Audi e-tron stands out as Audi’s first dedicated electric vehicle, and that alone makes it an important debut for the brand. It is presented as a likable opening act that previews the automaker’s potential, and it is described as working well as a futuristic daily driver for people who can charge overnight or during the day and live a predictable lifestyle.
What makes it appealing is not headline-grabbing performance numbers, but the way it fits into everyday use with a quiet, comfortable, and upscale character. Owners praise its luxurious feel, safety features, spacious interior, and build quality, which reinforces the impression of a refined EV rather than a flashy one. The main drawback is range: some owners feel it could be better, and range anxiety is a recurring concern.

Good-solid SUV. It feels very heavy and it drives smooth. The handling is good and the interior is very comfortable. The touch screens are a little difficult to press while driving, however.

Being a high end auto, repairs maybe out of my budget. The 12 volt battery replacement is over $1,000. For one small example. Range is a little low, but not a deal breaker. Car is very nice.

Couldnt be happier. This is an awesome car. I test drove comparable EVs, Tesla 3 and Y, Jaguar I-Pace, BMW i3, etc. The e-tron impressed me the most. I have owned it for about 9 months now and am as happy as when I first purchased it. No tune-ups, pull into your garage and fill her up and the performance and workmanship are incredible. When I test drove the Teslas there was a lot more cab noise. When I got above 70mph you could actually hear whistling. The Jaguar was a little too much of a sports car for me. I wanted something a little more spacious and comfortable. The BMW was a bit quirky. But you should drive them all to draw your own conclusions. It will be interesting to see where the range and charge time goes for EVs over the next few years. For now, though, the e-tron goes above and beyond my current needs.

Absolutely love this car. Spacious, super quiet, very comfortable, excellent build quality (ahem, competitor starting with T...). I especially appreciate the safety and convenience features of the Driver Assistance package (adaptive cruise control is a must for California driving). The range is as quoted or better: I use cruise control a lot, which is more efficient, and I drive with a light touch on the accelerator, making full use of Audis coasting mode for local driving. So I routinely get 200-240 miles/charge. But frankly, my bodys driving range is shorter than the cars... so on long drives I need to stop every 3 hours anyhow. For anyone with range anxiety, I have 2 words: Electrify America (okay, more generally: DC Fast Charging). The charging networks are well built out and growing, and I find I can add 100-150 miles to my eTron in 30 minutes or less! Every time Ive gone grocery shopping and plugged in my car, or stopped for a bio break and a snack on a road trip, my car is done charging before Im done. I had an A3 plug-in hybrid, which took 2 hours of L2 charging to add 20-24 miles. No comparison. I highly recommend this car. Best vehicle Ive owned.

| Year-Round Low | $20,087 |
| Year-Round High | $23,074 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $23,068 |

There are 78 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare prices and equipment.
Is the 2019 Audi e-tron a good car?
Yes — the 4.64/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 7/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.
Owners consistently praise the luxurious feel, quiet ride, spacious interior, safety features, and build quality. The overview frames it as a futuristic daily driver that works best when you can charge overnight or during the day and keep to a predictable routine. That makes it especially appealing if you want an upscale EV that feels refined rather than flashy.
The market also looks supportive, with 48.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.
Is the 2019 Audi e-tron reliable?
Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to live with over the long term, especially when you value comfort, build quality, and a quiet driving experience. The expert review also describes it as a futuristic daily driver that works well when you can charge at home or during the day, which reinforces the idea that it suits predictable ownership patterns.
Audi’s electric setup is presented as smooth and satisfying in everyday use, and the review notes that most people who buy a long-range EV like this one recharge at home overnight. That said, used-EV ownership still depends on battery condition and charging habits, so you should confirm how the car was charged and how much usable range it still delivers.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Audi e-tron?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still run a history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus on overall condition rather than just mileage. Pay close attention to charging behavior, cabin wear, and whether the vehicle has been used in a way that matches your own driving and charging routine.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: Premium Plus is the value pick because it captures the core upscale experience, while Prestige adds premium leather upholstery, more comfortable seats with a massage function, a cabin air ionization and fragrance system, a higher-tech version of Audi Virtual Cockpit, a head-up display, and rear side-window sunshades.
- Powertrain: The e-tron uses liquid-cooled front and rear electric motors to create Quattro all-wheel drive, with 402 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque; Dynamic or Sport mode briefly raises torque to 490 lb-ft, but the review notes that Efficiency and Comfort are better fits for everyday use.
- Safety package: Pre Sense 360 is the named driver-assistance suite, and it can detect potential frontal, side, or rear collisions and prepare the vehicle and occupants for impact.
- Infotainment: The cabin uses a triple-screen setup, includes Audi Virtual Cockpit and natural-language voice recognition, and offers wireless Apple CarPlay; the review does not mention Android Auto or over-the-air updates.
- Range & charging: The e-tron is rated at 204 miles of maximum driving range, and the review describes a 45-minute DC fast-charge session in practice.
- Battery health: On a used example, you should ask for battery state-of-health information, review charging history, and confirm whether the car has mostly been charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. You should also check how much of the battery warranty remains and whether the displayed range still matches the car’s expected use pattern.
Which 2019 Audi e-tron trim should I buy?
The 2019 Audi e-tron is offered in 2 trim levels: Premium Plus and Prestige.
Here's the short version:
- Premium Plus: This is the best-value choice because it delivers the core e-tron experience without the extra cost of the top trim. You still get the upscale electric SUV character, and the review suggests you should stick with this trim unless you specifically want the added luxury and convenience features in Prestige.
- Prestige: Choose this trim if you want the richer cabin experience, including premium leather upholstery, massage seats, cabin air ionization and fragrance, the higher-tech Virtual Cockpit setup, a head-up display, and rear side-window sunshades.
The safety package centers on Pre Sense 360, which is standard and adds broad collision-detection capability.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi e-tron?
This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you want to shop carefully and compare listings.
- Deal availability: 48.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.40% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 75.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $20,087, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Audi e-tron's resale value?
The current average of $20,669 sits slightly below last year's $23,068.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can expect. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. The key for resale will be preserving battery health, maintaining clean history, and keeping the car aligned with buyer expectations for a premium EV.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2019 Audi e-tron safe?
The 2019 Audi e-tron earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and top scores in every assessment, including front-crash prevention.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The standard driver-assistance suite is Pre Sense 360, which can detect potential frontal, side, or rear collisions and prepare the vehicle and occupants for impact. The review also notes that the adaptive cruise control, pedestrian-detection system, and lane-keeping assist can misfire often enough to discourage use, so you should test those systems carefully on a used example.
Should I buy a 2019 Audi e-tron or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 48.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.40% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2019 model year stands out as Audi’s first dedicated electric vehicle, and the expert review says it works well as a futuristic daily driver if you can charge overnight or during the day and keep a predictable routine.
The bottom line: If you want the debut-year Audi e-tron and value its upscale feel, quiet ride, and strong owner satisfaction, the 2019 is a sensible place to shop. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softened market and decent inventory make this a good year to compare listings closely and target the best-equipped example you can find at the right price.
