Is the 2019 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the Q5’s luxurious feel, ample features, comfortable ride, stylish design, and practicality, which fits well if you want a premium midsize SUV that works as a family vehicle. The model’s comfort-focused character and roomy interior make it especially appealing if you value everyday usefulness over off-road ambition. With 38.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centered on the Q5’s comfort, features, and overall refinement. That said, some reviewers mention laggy throttle response in D mode and a few limitations in newer tech, so you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and condition. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad reliability concerns and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Audi Q5?

At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you want to check for signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition, because the best used Q5s will be the ones that show clean history, consistent upkeep, and no signs of hidden repair issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,891 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,296, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $17,296 sits slightly below last year's $19,587.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter a lot, because well-kept examples tend to hold buyer interest better than neglected ones. Strong demand for a premium, practical SUV can still support resale, especially when the vehicle presents cleanly and has a solid service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,441, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,296 average.
• It brings a redesigned platform with more room, better refinement, and updated technology.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market value story and a well-liked luxury SUV with broad appeal. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better secondary path because it offers a lower average price while still delivering the Q5’s core strengths.
