Is the 2019 Audi Q3 reliable?

The performance notes also point to a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive, which gives you a straightforward mechanical setup rather than a complicated one.

The Q3 also includes a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, which can help reduce day-to-day stress and support confidence over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained consistently and that any prior damage or wear is fully documented before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Audi Q3?

At 69.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the equipment level matches the trim being advertised.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Premium comes with a fully digital instrument panel, a panoramic moonroof, Audi’s MMI infotainment system, aluminum roof rails, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, full leather upholstery, and heated front seats. The Premium Plus adds full LED automatic headlights, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, eight-way power adjustment for both front seats, wireless charging, satellite radio, and remote keyless entry. The Prestige adds power-adjustable, auto-dimming, and power-folding side mirrors, navigation, Audi Virtual Cockpit, additional parking-camera views, an upgraded MMI system, and the LED interior lighting package plus.
• Powertrain: All trims use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. The writeup says the torque is strong, acceleration is solid in normal driving, and the suspension stays composed for daily use.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning. Audi calls these systems Pre Sense City and Pre Sense Basic. The Prestige adds a fuller set of driver-assistance features, including highway-cruising aids and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The standard screen is 8.8 inches, while the top trim uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, wireless device charging comes with the Premium Plus, and wireless Apple CarPlay is included on the Prestige.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q3 is rated at 19 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2019 Audi Q3 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Audi Q3 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the value play if you want the core Q3 experience without stretching your budget. You still get the digital instrument panel, panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and the standard safety and infotainment setup, so it covers the essentials well.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful convenience and tech upgrades, including LED headlights, wireless charging, and power adjustment for both front seats. If you want a nicer daily driver without jumping to the top trim, this is the one to focus on.
• Prestige: This is the trim to choose if you want the most advanced tech and the richest feature set. It adds Virtual Cockpit, navigation, extra camera views, upgraded MMI, and the more advanced driver-assistance content, making it the best fit for tech-focused buyers.

The Prestige trim also brings the most complete safety and driver-assistance package, so it’s the one to target if those features matter most.

The current average of $18,817 sits slightly below last year's $19,247.

That kind of price movement suggests the Q3 has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may also mean future resale gains are likely to be gradual rather than dramatic. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in clean condition, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell. The model’s upscale image and technology-heavy appeal should continue to support demand among shoppers looking for a small luxury SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Audi Q3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 Q3 stands out for its upscale interior, composed handling, and technology-forward cabin, while still feeling larger and more usable than before.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, tech, and refinement in this model year, the 2019 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for a well-kept example near the low end of the range and prioritize condition, equipment, and accident history over mileage alone.
