Is the 2019 Audi A5 Sportback reliable?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi A5 Sportback?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 339 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,455, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Audi A5 Sportback's resale value?

The current average of $19,455 sits slightly below last year's $21,882.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more because buyers tend to reward well-kept examples in a cooling market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,749, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,455 average.
• It offers a stylish, practical hatchback layout with strong everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with a strong satisfaction signal and softer pricing than last year, the 2019 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you the same basic appeal.
