Is the 2019 Audi A5 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2019 Audi A5. The overview points to a stylish luxury coupe with a premium feel, a sporty edge, and a refined cabin that helps it feel more upscale than a basic commuter car. It also gives you some flexibility, since the lineup includes body styles that balance sleek design with everyday usability, including the Sportback’s generous cargo area.

That mix of premium features and practical versatility makes it appealing if you want a luxury car that still works for daily driving. With 40.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market also gives you a decent chance to find one at a competitive price.

Is the 2019 Audi A5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a well-rounded ownership experience, with a premium interior, standard tech, and all-wheel-drive traction helping the car feel polished and usable. It also notes that the model had already settled into its second-generation formula by 2019, which can be reassuring if you want a more established version of the A5.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden wear from prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Audi A5?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition, especially if the car has had prior damage or repair work. Focus on overall condition and consistency between the listing description and the car’s actual wear, since that will tell you more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Audi A5?

It looks like a buyer’s market for this model year, especially if you’re willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 218 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,370, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Audi A5's resale value?

The current average of $22,376 sits slightly below last year's $24,239.

That price movement suggests the model has softened enough to create a more attractive entry point for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell. The current market also shows enough demand to support a healthy used-car audience.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Audi A5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2019 Audi A5 is the right pick if you want a stylish, premium-feeling luxury car with a strong user rating and a market that currently favors buyers. If your priority is getting the best value, this year looks especially appealing because prices have eased and deal availability is solid. If you’re more price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby years, but the 2019 is a strong primary target when you want a balanced mix of style, refinement, and market value.
