Used 2018 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2018 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 2.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,166 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you commit.

Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.4/5 user-rated minivan with an expert score of 7.17/10. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

User feedback repeatedly points to spaciousness, reliability, and all-wheel drive capability as the biggest strengths, with the Sienna also standing out as a practical family vehicle. The overview frames it the same way: it’s built for hauling kids, cargo, road trips, sporting gear, and home-improvement runs, especially if you want AWD. That said, some shoppers may still be put off by the lack of features like navigation and hands-free technology, and a few owners felt the price was high for what it offered.

Good and great deals percentage: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s some room to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights the Sienna’s reliability and dependability, and the expert commentary also calls out a deserved reputation for dependability. That combination matters for a family minivan, because you want something you can count on for daily duty, road trips, and heavy use over time. The cost-effectiveness commentary also notes free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership, which helps lower early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day usefulness and more about buying a neglected example, so a careful inspection and service-history review still matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Toyota Sienna?

At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage van or one with family-hauling wear and tear. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the equipment you care about actually works as expected. Because this model is often used hard, it’s smart to verify that the cabin, safety tech, and convenience features are all functioning properly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE trim adds a sportier look with a mesh grille, darkened headlights, rocker panel skirts, special taillights, black leather seats with white stitching, and sport-tuned steering and suspension. It’s the trim that most clearly changes the Sienna’s personality, while the base setup is more straightforward and less distinctive.
• Powertrain: The Sienna uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 296 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic. AWD is available only on LE, XLE, and Limited trims.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on SE and standard on XLE and Limited.
• Infotainment: The base L trim gets a Scout connected navigation system and more USB ports. All trims except L add Safety Connect subscription services and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: The SE test vehicle returned 18.9 mpg on the test loop, versus an EPA estimate of 22 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2018 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2018 Toyota Sienna is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LE, SE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the simplest way into the Sienna lineup, but it still gets a Scout connected navigation system and more USB ports. It makes sense if you want the lowest-frills path into the model and don’t need the extra convenience and safety-connected features found higher up.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it opens the door to AWD, which is one of the Sienna’s biggest differentiators. If you want the core family-hauling experience with the option for extra traction, this is the trim to focus on.
• SE: This is the choice if you want the sportier look and feel, plus the sport-tuned steering and suspension. It also can be paired with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, making it the most distinctive personality play in the lineup.
• XLE: This is the more comfort- and convenience-oriented step up, and it also gets blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard. It’s a strong pick if you want a better-equipped family van without going all the way to the top.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, with the premium tech and convenience content most likely to appeal if you want the most upscale Sienna experience. It also gets the standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert package.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on XLE and Limited and available on SE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Sienna?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,166 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,451, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $21,908 sits slightly below last year's $22,357.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the van for a while. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the van has been maintained. A clean history and strong equipment content should help your listing stand out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2018 Toyota Sienna does not earn a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, and it earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Safety Connect is also included on most versions for one year and adds automatic collision notification, emergency assistance, and roadside assistance. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on SE and standard on XLE and Limited.

The main caveat is that the Sienna’s crash-test performance trails some rivals, and the NHTSA side-impact rating is not provided in the source text. The expert commentary also notes a false forward-collision warning event during testing, so you should pay attention to how the driver-assistance systems behave on a test drive.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 model stands out for standard Toyota Safety Sense and available AWD, making it especially appealing if those features matter most to you.

The bottom line: If you want a used Sienna with standard driver-assistance tech and the option for AWD, the 2018 is a sensible year to target. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, you may find better value by comparing nearby years and focusing on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
