Used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Prices have softened 12.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 985 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the GLS for its luxurious features, comfort, and performance, and they also highlight the power it delivers along with the electronic features that improve the driving experience. For you, that means this model year fits especially well if you want a large, premium three-row SUV with a comfort-first personality and a strong emphasis on refinement. There are 34.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, performance, and features that continue to satisfy over time. That kind of response suggests the GLS can be a reassuring choice if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on for regular family use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience itself and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and inspected carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the suspension, electronics, and overall wear, since this is a large luxury SUV where repair costs can add up quickly. It also makes sense to pay close attention to interior condition and how the third row and cargo area have been used, because those areas can reveal how hard the vehicle has been worked.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 985 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,723, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $20,723 sits slightly below last year's $23,725.

That price movement tells you the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you choose a well-kept example, you may be better positioned than someone who buys a higher-priced listing today and then faces further depreciation. Strong condition and a clean history matter more when the market has already softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is a sensible place to focus your search. You should especially consider it if you value a luxury three-row SUV with strong comfort and features and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2018 gives you a clear combination of softened pricing and broad market availability that can make the buying process easier.
