Is the 2018 Audi Q7 reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort, space, and overall ownership experience. What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi Q7?

At 71.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of past repairs, and whether the SUV’s luxury features and interior wear match the mileage and asking price.

What is the 2018 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $16,267 sits slightly below last year's $18,707.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to resell later. If values stabilize from here, a well-kept Q7 bought at today's average could be better positioned than one purchased before the drop. Strong condition and clean history will matter most when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,303, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,267 average.
• The redesign brings a new look, more space, and a lighter body.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2017 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in excellent condition.
