Used 2018 Kia Stinger for Sale near Massachusetts

How much does the 2018 Kia Stinger cost?

Prices have softened 1.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 295 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Kia Stinger a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Kia Stinger earns a 4.87/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise the blend of performance, luxury, and technology, along with the powerful engine and attractive interior. The sporty feel also comes through clearly, which fits the car’s role as an all-new four-door sports car with a more premium personality than you might expect from Kia. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want something engaging and upscale rather than a plain commuter.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2018 Kia Stinger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels well-liked for its performance, luxury, and technology, and it also highlights the powerful engine and sporty character. That kind of praise usually lines up with a vehicle that owners feel good about living with over time. The expert evaluation also describes the Stinger as a real-deal four-door sports car with strong driving dynamics and a premium feel, which reinforces the sense that it’s built to be more than a short-term novelty.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that some owners mention gas mileage concerns and missing convenience features, so you should focus on condition, maintenance history, and whether the specific car has the equipment you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Kia Stinger?

At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Pay close attention to bodywork quality, tire wear, brake condition, and any signs that the car’s sporty life has been harder than average. Because visibility is limited by the design, it’s also smart to confirm that the driver-assistance features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.0L trim comes with Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a reversing camera, leather seating, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime head- and taillights, heated power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, dual exhaust, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic temperature control. The Premium trim adds a power moonroof, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a larger 7-inch TFT screen in the instrument panel, an electronic parking brake, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 15-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system. The GT trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels, an upgraded grille, additional side accents, a rear diffuser, aluminum center-console accents, door-sill plates, pedals, a GT headrest inscription, and a performance-oriented flat-bottom steering wheel. The GT1 adds many Premium features plus electronically controlled suspension, auto-dimming side mirrors, and additional gauges for G-forces, oil temperature, torque, turbo boost, and a lap timer. The GT2 adds a limited-slip differential, low-beam dynamic headlight assist, power smart trunk, upgraded premium Nappa leather seat trim, a 16-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 12-way power front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, and a host of upgraded driver-assistance systems.

• Powertrain: The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The GT uses a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use an 8-speed automatic transmission, and you can get rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The GT, GT1, and GT2 also bring an available continuously damping suspension, which helps sharpen the car’s handling.

• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes front and side-impact airbags, front and rear crumple zones, child-seat anchoring, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines, and front and rear parking sensors. The GT2 adds blind-spot detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, driver-attention warning, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist as standard; those features are optional on the other trims. Because the GT2 gets the fullest suite, lower trims are worth checking carefully if you want advanced driver assistance.

• Infotainment: The base 2.0L and GT trims use a 7-inch UVO infotainment system, while the Premium, GT1, and GT2 get the larger 8-inch UVO system. All trims come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the larger screen also includes navigation. The GT2 adds a head-up display.

• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with AWD is estimated at 19 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined, and the rear-wheel-drive version is the same. The 2.0-liter turbo with AWD is rated at 21 city, 29 highway, and 24 combined, while the rear-wheel-drive 2.0-liter does slightly better at 22 city, 29 highway, and 25 combined.

Which 2018 Kia Stinger trim should I buy?

The 2018 Kia Stinger is offered in 5 trim levels: 2.0L, Premium, GT, GT1, and GT2.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0L: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a strong equipment list with leather seating, a reversing camera, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want the lowest-cost way into the Stinger’s style and basic tech, this is the trim to start with.

• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, a power moonroof, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and the 15-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. If you want the most noticeable upgrade in comfort and tech without jumping to the performance-focused trims, this is the one to target.

• GT: This trim is for you if you want the stronger visual and mechanical personality, with the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, 19-inch wheels, a rear diffuser, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and more aggressive styling details. It makes the Stinger feel more like the performance car it’s meant to be.

• GT1: This is the step up if you want more chassis sophistication and extra driver-focused instrumentation, including electronically controlled suspension and gauges for G-forces, oil temperature, torque, turbo boost, and lap timing. It’s a good fit if you care about the driving experience as much as the equipment list.

• GT2: This is the most fully equipped version, with the limited-slip differential, ventilated front seats, Nappa leather, the larger driver’s seat adjustment range, and the most advanced driver-assistance features. If you want the most complete Stinger and don’t mind paying for it, this is the top choice.

The GT2 is also the trim to look for if you want the fullest safety package, since several advanced driver-assistance features are standard there and optional elsewhere.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Stinger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and still find a decent deal.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 295 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,903, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Stinger's resale value?

The current average of $19,813 sits slightly below last year's $20,072.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can be good news if you’re buying now but means a future seller may need to price competitively. The year-over-year decline is modest rather than dramatic, so the Stinger is not showing signs of a sharp value drop. Its strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand, especially for well-kept examples with the right equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Kia Stinger safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include a full array of front and side-impact airbags, front and rear crumple zones, child-seat anchoring, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. All trims also come with a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines and front and rear parking sensors. The GT2 adds blind-spot detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, driver-attention warning, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist as standard, while those features are optional on the rest of the lineup.

One important caveat is rear visibility: the large C-pillars and sloping roof make it difficult to see behind you, so the available driver-assistance features matter more than they might in a car with a clearer view out the back.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Stinger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out as Kia’s debuting upscale performance car, with a four-door sports-car identity that helped redefine the brand.

The bottom line: If you want the original Stinger experience with strong owner satisfaction, a premium-feeling cabin, and a performance-first personality, the 2018 is a compelling choice. If you’re shopping mainly on price, you can use the softened market to your advantage and focus on the best-maintained example rather than stretching for a newer year.
