How much does the 2018 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 2.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,790 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its value, reliability, and fuel economy, and they also like its safety features and technology. The Civic’s stylish, sporty personality helps it stand out if you want a compact car that feels more engaging than a basic commuter. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want practical everyday transportation with a more distinctive driving character. With 29.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2018 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable and appreciate its trouble-free feel, along with the confidence it gives them over long-term ownership. The owner feedback also emphasizes value and fuel economy, which usually matters most when you plan to keep a car for years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and checked carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Civic?

At 46.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a turbocharged example or a higher-mileage car. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and whether the car’s equipment matches what you want, since feature content can vary a lot by trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,790 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 46.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,651, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $15,951 sits slightly below last year's $16,436.

That softer pricing suggests the Civic is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the model has a strong reputation and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,165, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,951 average.
• It offers a broader lineup with more body styles and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the better value and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you want more variety and don’t mind paying more, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
