Why it stands out
The 2018 Ford Expedition redefines what a full-size SUV can deliver, standing out from the competition primarily due to its blend of power, spaciousness, and advanced technologies. With a robust twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine generating 375 horsepower, it boasts excellent towing capacity of up to 9,300 pounds, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The independent rear suspension enhances its ride comfort and handling, allowing for more cargo space and a more pleasant experience for third-row passengers.
The welcoming and functional interior integrates the updated Sync 3 infotainment system, facilitating smartphone connectivity and convenience features like a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2018 Ford Expedition’s available driver-assistance technologies, such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, further elevate its appeal. While some users have raised concerns about reliability and repair costs, the overall consensus praises its spaciousness and comfort. Expert reviewers highlight that the redesigned Expedition not only sets benchmarks but also excels in providing a notable driving experience, especially given its competitive pricing in the larger SUV market.

This vehicle has great features. It is missing a true heads-up display on the windshield. I would have really liked that. However, the display appears on the drivers side behind the steering wheel. I can live with this because the remaining features are also great. The charging station, park assist, lane assistance, and overall space within the vehicle is excellent. I upgraded from an Explorer which also had great space and was extremely reliable. I hope to have the same experience with this Expedition.

Wanted a SUV as opposed to a monster truck that I would only use to pull my travel trailer. I couldnt see spending that kind of money for a truck that would just be sitting in my garage for a large part of the year. This Exp. Max is a beast....tows 9300 lbs, and with the limited trim model, you can have it equipped with tons of technology laden features such as the Drivers Assistance Package. The ride is smooth as silk, and the 10 speed transmission works seamlessly as you begin your journey from stop to go. The 4x4 version will get you where you want to go regardless of imclement weather. The only negative that I have noticed is that with the 22 optional rims and the size and gerth of the Exp, Max, the steering is a little sluggish. I would think that the 18 and 20 rims would fare a bit better in that regard. Otherwise, Ford has knocked it out of the park with this behemoth line of their largest SUVs.
