How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, decent gas mileage, good power, towing ability, and compact size that makes it easier to drive than a full-size truck. It also fits well if you want a midsize pickup that balances everyday usability with real truck capability. With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of attractive options to shop.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a truck that many people find dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride, good power, and practical size. At the same time, some drivers mention mechanical issues, so a careful used purchase should focus on service history and how the truck has aged over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Chevrolet Colorado?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Pay close attention to transmission behavior, HVAC operation, and any signs of past body or structural repairs. It also helps to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since those can tell you more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,287 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,414, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $20,440 sits slightly below last year's $22,002.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A well-kept truck should still hold appeal thanks to its practical size and broad usefulness.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,555, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $20,440 average.
• It adds a more straightforward, no-nonsense focus with available diesel and ZR2 appeal.

The 2018 is the better primary pick if you want stronger value and more room to negotiate. If you can stretch for the 2019, it may appeal more if you want the later-year take on the Colorado’s practical, capability-first formula. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2018 remains the smarter starting point.
