How much does the 2018 BMW M4 cost?

Prices are up 3.45% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 142 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 BMW M4 a good car?

Yes — owners give it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The owner feedback highlights impressive handling, strong power, and advanced technology, and it also notes that the car is fun and exciting compared with other models. That fits the 2018 M4’s role as a compact performance coupe and convertible that still aims to work as an everyday car. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 BMW M4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: strong performance, engaging dynamics, and technology that keeps the driving experience rewarding over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the rating and more about how the car was treated, since a high-performance model like this may have been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 BMW M4?

At 59.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the brakes, suspension, steering, and any aftermarket modifications. Because condition matters so much on a performance car like this, pay close attention to signs of hard use, uneven wear, and repair quality.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW M4?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.45% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 59.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,011, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW M4's resale value?

The current average of $43,184 sits slightly above last year's $41,743.

That price movement suggests the market has stayed fairly firm, which can help support resale value if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. For a future seller, a model year with steady demand and limited bargain inventory can be easier to move when it is time to trade or sell. The fact that the average price is still near the upper end of the yearly range also suggests buyers continue to place value on this car’s performance and image.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW M4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.45% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of performance, owner satisfaction, and current market support, the 2018 is a solid primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, you should focus on the best-conditioned examples and be willing to compare carefully against nearby years to find the right balance of cost and confidence.
