How much does the 2018 BMW 3 Series cost?

Prices have softened 6.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,177 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.53/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, ride quality, powerful acceleration, and smooth handling, which fits a compact luxury sedan that prioritizes driving enjoyment. The overview also shows why it appeals to you if you want a premium-feeling sedan with a broad mix of engines, drivetrains, and transmission choices. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding value in the market.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that feels enjoyable and confidence-inspiring to live with, especially because of its smooth handling and strong performance. That said, the ownership picture still calls for careful shopping, since premium cars like this can become expensive if prior maintenance has been neglected. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a well-equipped car that needs costly catch-up service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 BMW 3 Series?

At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the suspension, tires, brakes, and any electronics that affect daily use. Because owner comments mention concerns about the spare tire and tire sensor, it also makes sense to check the condition and completeness of the wheel-and-tire setup carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW 3 Series?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,760, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $15,023 sits slightly below last year's $16,074.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well you maintain the car. If you keep mileage reasonable and service records complete, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. A clean history and strong condition matter even more in a premium sedan market where buyers compare closely across listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,304, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,023 average.
• It adds a more advanced software experience.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for the newer model's updated software experience, the 2019 is the better secondary path for buyers who care more about the latest tech than upfront savings.
