Used 2018 Audi A5 for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2018 Audi A5 cost?

Prices have softened 8.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 237 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Audi A5 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Audi A5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its elegant design, impressive handling, and advanced features, and many also like its sporty yet luxurious feel and roomy interior compared with competitors. The A5’s mix of coupe style and everyday usability makes it appealing if you want a premium car that still works well for regular driving. With 37.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2018 Audi A5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable, and the feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience when the car has been well cared for. The strongest theme in the reviews is that the A5 feels like a car you can count on for a refined daily drive, especially when condition is solid at purchase. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is starting with a poorly maintained example, so condition matters as much as the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi A5?

At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, since prior damage can affect both value and future ownership costs. Put inspection priority on bodywork, panel alignment, paint consistency, and signs of repair quality, then confirm that the car’s condition matches the asking price. Because this model attracts shoppers looking for a premium feel, you should focus on overall condition first and treat cosmetic or structural issues as a reason to walk away or negotiate hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,937, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A5's resale value?

The current average of $18,937 sits slightly below last year's $20,672.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the softer trend means you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you do not overpay on the way in. A well-kept example should still hold appeal because shoppers tend to respond to the A5’s premium image and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the redesigned second-generation A5 with strong owner approval and a market that has become more favorable on price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
