How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,166 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, features, and smooth driving experience, and many also highlight the spacious interior and advanced technology. That fits well if you want a three-row luxury SUV that works as a family hauler with a practical third row and a well-equipped cabin. With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort and smooth driving. The overall impression is that this is a vehicle many owners feel confident keeping for the long term.

For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety, but you should still verify maintenance history and condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Acura MDX?

At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and ownership patterns before you visit in person. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past damage or poor repairs. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since those details matter more when you are shopping a used luxury SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,166 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,902, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $18,902 sits slightly below last year's $20,243.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position later. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal as a three-row luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,200, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $18,902 average.
• It offers a more refined, proven feel with steady improvement over time.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model-year step up, the 2019 is the secondary path to consider.
