How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 5.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,156 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth driving experience, and advanced technology, and they also see it as good value for the money. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV with a premium feel, family-friendly space, and a comfort-first character. The market also shows 35.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, smooth driving, and confidence in the vehicle over time. That kind of long-term approval matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for daily family duty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Acura MDX?

At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident or repair history. Focus closely on condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear in the cabin and suspension, since those details matter most on a used luxury SUV. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make sure the condition supports the price before you move forward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,156 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,948, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,058 sits slightly below last year's $20,129.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned to limit losses when it’s time to sell. Demand should remain supported by the MDX’s comfort, space, and owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,057, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $19,058 average.
• It brings a more refined, continuously improved feel with the same core three-row luxury SUV formula.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2018 is the stronger primary path because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year step up, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
