Should I buy a 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.04% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• It offers a more distinctive hybrid-SUV pitch with practical efficiency and versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around ownership signal, the 2017 is the better primary choice. If your budget is tighter, the 2016 is the better value path, especially if you find a clean, well-maintained example.
