Used 2017 Lincoln Continental for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2017 Lincoln Continental cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 151 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Lincoln Continental earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious features, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and they also like its stylish design and strong value compared with other luxury options. In the context of Lincoln’s return to a flagship sedan, that mix makes it appealing if you want a large luxury car that feels distinctive and comfortable rather than sporty.

There are 29.8% good and great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find worthwhile listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels luxurious, smooth, and spacious, with many owners describing it as a great value compared with other luxury options. That kind of praise usually lines up with a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially when the cabin and ride quality are priorities.

The expert drive material also emphasizes that the Continental is built for relaxed, long-haul comfort, with a soft ride and body motions kept in check. On the ownership side, the cost discussion notes concierge service for dealer servicing and Black Label perks like restaurant reservations, which can make the experience feel more premium.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability than about whether you’re comfortable with the Continental’s expensive options and the possibility that ownership costs may not feel as reassuring as the cabin does.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lincoln Continental?

At 60.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had prior bodywork or if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Pay close attention to condition details that matter on a luxury sedan: interior wear, noise levels, trunk usability, and whether the car still feels as refined as you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The top Black Label trim gets the best interior treatment, while lesser versions can leave you with some materials that feel less upscale than the rest of the cabin.
• Powertrain: Three V6 engines are available: a 305-horsepower 3.7-liter, a 335-horsepower turbocharged 2.7-liter, and a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo. Front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional on most trims, and the twin-turbo engine comes only with all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: The Technology Package includes lane-keep assist, auto braking, pedestrian detection, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. There is no semi-autonomous feature that self-steers in low-speed traffic.
• Infotainment: Sync 3 is fast and intuitive, and the car offers a 19-speaker Revel Ultima stereo. The digital instrument panel is configurable, though not as flexible as some rivals.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG or MPGe figure is stated in the available material.

Which 2017 Lincoln Continental trim should I buy?

The 2017 Lincoln Continental is offered in 3 trim levels: Premiere, Reserve, Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Premiere: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Continental’s core luxury and space without stretching for extras. It gives you the basic flagship-sedan experience, but the material notes make clear that the richer cabin treatment lives higher up the range.
• Reserve: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it balances equipment and price more effectively than the top trim. If you want the Continental’s upscale ride, strong styling, and a more complete luxury feel without paying for the most exclusive touches, this is the trim to target.
• Black Label: Choose this if you want the most luxurious interior presentation and the most premium ownership experience. The material specifically says you’ll need the top Black Label trim to get the best interior treatment, so this is the one for buyers who care most about cabin ambiance and exclusivity.

The Technology Package adds the main driver-assistance features, but it is optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lincoln Continental?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find a decent deal if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,866, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lincoln Continental's resale value?

The current average of $18,105 sits slightly below last year's $18,180.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what your car may be worth down the road, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check.

Because the Continental is a luxury sedan with a more niche appeal, resale will likely depend heavily on how well your specific car presents. Clean history, strong condition, and desirable equipment should matter more than broad market swings here.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental safe?

The 2017 Lincoln Continental has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The available driver-assistance suite includes lane-keep assist, auto braking, pedestrian detection, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. Those features are part of the Technology Package, so you should confirm whether a used listing has that package if safety tech matters to you.

One important caveat is that there is no semi-autonomous feature that self-steers in low-speed traffic, which is a notable omission for a flagship luxury sedan. Optional inflatable seat belts are also mentioned as a rear-passenger injury-reduction feature.

Should I buy a 2017 Lincoln Continental or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 Continental is framed as Lincoln’s critical flagship statement, with a strong emphasis on luxury, smoothness, and space.

The bottom line: If you want the Continental’s flagship-sedan character and you find one with a clean history and the right equipment, the 2017 is a sensible target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping carefully and focus on the best-condition example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
