Used 2020 Lincoln Continental for Sale near Chicago, IL
For 2019, the Continental got new standard safety features and a Coach Door limited edition. Competitors include the Cadillac XTS and CT6, Audi A7, BMW 6 Series, and Genesis G90. Lincoln hasn’t shared many details about the 2020 Continental except that it plans to release more Coach Door editions, but we otherwise expect it to carry over unchanged.
The Continental offsets its visual bulk with smooth lines and clean edges, and it enhances the premium feel with HID and LED lighting. The Coach Door edition features a wheelbase roughly 6-inches longer to accommodate the extra door length.
All three engines are expected to carry over. The base is a 3.7-liter 6-cylinder rated for 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, followed by a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter 6-cylinder rated for 335 hp and 380 lb-ft. The top engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder rated for 400 hp and 400 lb-ft. All three get a 6-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. For the most efficient combination, look for a Continental with the base engine and FWD, rated for 18 mpg city, 27 highway, and 21 combined.
The Continental seats five passengers across two rows. The base trim, called simply the Continental, provides heated front seats and ambient lighting. The Select trim comes with 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, and a hands-free trunk. Reserve adds 3-zone climate control and some safety features. The top-end Black Label provides Venetian leather seats and offers heated rear seats and interior packages for specific trim combinations. The Coach Door edition features large doors that open to 90 degrees for dramatic ingress and egress.
An 8-inch touchscreen display, 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 4G LTE capability come standard. Options include navigation, HD Radio, and 13- and 19-speaker Revel audio systems.
The 2019 Continental earned a 5-Star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Standard safety features include a reversing camera, automatic emergency response, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring, and the MyKey system. For additional features, Lincoln offers a 360-degree camera, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and a head-up display (HUD).
Potential buyers should consider buying a Lincoln Continental sooner rather than later. Though Lincoln hasn’t confirmed the Continental’s future beyond the coming year, all signs point to a graceful exit. As it was in 2019, the Coach Door edition will be limited for 2020.

(19 reviews)No vehicle I have ever owned compared to this vehicle. That includes 3 Mercedes and 2 Jaguars
What a beautiful car. Decided to buy a final Ford/Lincoln car seeing as Lincoln is no longer producing them. Decided to look for a gently used 2020 Lincoln Continental sedan. And I found it on CarGurus. Wanted the vehicle to have AWD- it does! Wanted the vehicle to have a 3.7 V6 engine- it does.! High quality leather interior and all the bells and whistles as far as technology. As we all know pricing can be arbitrary on these vehicles, but I managed to find one, competitively priced and in like-new condition.
Once I turned on the heated massaging seats during the test drive, I was sold! The Lincoln Continental is equally as or possibly a tad bit more comfortable than the Cadillac I previously drove. The only thing missing from this beautiful, comfortable car, was window tint, which I promptly remedied. We are very happy with our purchase.
Overall features are good. Car is missing a sun/moon roof to make it more complete.
I currently have a 2017 continental and look forward to buying the last model of the car to keep for many years to come.
