Used 2017 Lexus GX for Sale near Missouri

How much does the 2017 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 3.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 469 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, off-road capability, spaciousness, comfortable and smooth ride, and reliable, robust nature. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a premium SUV that can handle rough terrain while still feeling refined day to day. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights its reliable and robust nature, along with a dependable feel that owners value over time. That matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for years of ownership rather than a short-term bargain. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus GX?

At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the SUV has been maintained consistently. Because this model is often chosen for durability and capability, you want to pay close attention to how hard the vehicle has been used and whether the condition matches the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, compare, and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 469 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,803, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $26,492 sits slightly below last year's $27,452.

That tells you the market has softened, which can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a particularly clean, well-optioned example. If you plan to sell later, condition and history will matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to reward well-kept SUVs with stronger demand. A lower entry price today can help protect you from taking too much depreciation if you buy below the market average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want a luxury SUV with strong owner approval, solid market availability, and a price trend that favors shoppers, the 2017 is a sensible year to target. You should lean toward it if you value capability and comfort more than cutting-edge tech. If you are especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker alone.
