Why it stands out
The 2017 Hyundai Sonata stands out in the increasingly competitive midsize sedan market due to its combination of affordability, reliability, and comfort. This model offers a sleek design and a smooth driving experience, which users highly appreciate, reflected in their ratings. While it lacks all-wheel drive and has been critiqued for somewhat dull driving dynamics, its strong safety ratings and generous tech offerings make it a strong alternative to rivals like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. The Sonata's fuel efficiency and spacious interior contribute to its appeal, especially for families or those looking for a dependable daily driver. Although concerns about engine reliability and theft vulnerabilities have been noted, the Sonata remains a popular choice for those seeking value in a midsize vehicle.

I bought a Sonata with the SE trim, so no power seats, blind spot indicator, heated seats or anything like that. However, it does have TPMS, Apple CarPlay, great backup camera, lots of rear seat leg room and is very solid and comfortable. Gets great gas mileage too! Overall, an excellent value.
