Used 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD for Sale near Oklahoma

How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 470 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD stands out as a heavy-duty pickup built for serious work, with the kind of towing and payload capability that puts it in a different world from ordinary full-size trucks. It also offers a more refined ride and handling balance than earlier versions, along with a softer and quieter ride and responsive handling for a truck of this size.

For you, that means this model makes the most sense if you need genuine heavy-duty hauling ability and still want a truck that feels more polished than a bare-bones work rig. It also brings useful tech and a fairly plush interior on higher trims, which helps if you spend long hours behind the wheel.

29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop carefully and find value.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is described as offering a strong combination of reliability, modern features, and serious hauling ability. That makes it appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that is built for demanding use while still feeling reasonably current inside.

For you as a used buyer, the main long-term ownership risk is that heavy-duty trucks often lead hard lives, so maintenance history and prior use matter a lot more than they would on a lighter-duty vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who knows heavy-duty trucks. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and overall condition, since a truck like this may have spent its life towing, hauling, or working hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 470 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,456, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $34,957 sits slightly below last year's $34,960.

That small change suggests the market has been stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. You are not looking at a truck with sharp price swings, so future value should be easier to predict than in a more volatile segment.

For you, that means a well-kept example should remain relatively marketable as long as it has strong maintenance records and a clean history. Condition will matter a lot, especially because buyers in this segment tend to be careful about prior use and wear.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing stability, available inventory, and heavy-duty capability, the 2017 is a sensible primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years for a lower entry point, but the 2017 gives you a straightforward path to a capable truck with a stable market.
