The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with the Corvette’s long-term appeal tied to how well it delivers performance without losing its everyday usability. That upward move suggests the market still values this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.71% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $55,021, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $56,594 average.
• It emphasizes dramatic styling and serious performance.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around value proposition, the 2017 is the better primary target because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a healthy deal pool. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
