Is the 2017 Buick Envision a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The review summary highlights comfort, a smooth ride, and stylish design, along with appreciation for its luxurious features and overall reliability. In practical terms, that makes it a good fit if you want a quiet, well-equipped SUV with a more upscale feel than a typical mainstream crossover. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Buick Envision reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to reliability as a strength, with owners describing the vehicle as dependable and appreciating its trouble-free ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters if you plan to keep the SUV for a while, because it suggests the model has earned trust beyond just its comfort and features. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and has a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Buick Envision?

At 66.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch signs of prior damage or poor repairs. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, interior wear, and any evidence that the vehicle’s comfort and convenience features have been neglected. If a listing looks especially clean and well-kept, that can matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Envision?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 346 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,079, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Envision's resale value?

The current average of $13,111 sits slightly below last year's $14,216.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained than on broad market momentum alone. A clean history and strong presentation should matter if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Envision or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.77% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, well-equipped compact SUV and you find a clean example at a strong price, the 2017 is a sensible choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also keep nearby model years in play and compare condition, accident history, and asking price closely before deciding.
