Used 2017 BMW M3 for Sale nearHartford, CT

How much does the 2017 BMW M3 cost?

Prices are up 2.58% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 225 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 BMW M3 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and that lines up with its appeal as a high-performance sedan that still works for everyday use. It gives you seating for five, a roomy 16.9-cubic-foot trunk, and a generous equipment list with available upgrades for comfort, convenience, safety, and performance. If you want a sedan that blends strong acceleration, sharp cornering, and daily practicality, this model fits that use case well. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 BMW M3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also points to a car that can be rewarding if you keep up with maintenance, since it is expensive to buy, maintain, and fix. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is ending up with a neglected example rather than a well-kept one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW M3?

At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic, with extra attention to signs of wear, repair quality, and overall condition. Because this model can be expensive to maintain and fix, a clean, well-documented example matters more than chasing the lowest asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW M3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 225 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.58% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 57.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,826, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW M3's resale value?

The current average of $44,998 sits slightly above last year's $43,865.

That upward move suggests the market still values this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy a clean example now. The fact that prices are trending higher also means a well-maintained car may be easier to move later than one with questionable history or visible wear. For a future seller, condition and documentation should matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to be selective.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW M3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.58% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of performance, practicality, and buyer appeal, the 2017 is a solid primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than the cheapest one.
