How much does the 2017 BMW 7 Series cost?

There are 466 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxurious experience, powerful performance, smooth ride, spacious interior, and advanced safety technology. For you, that makes sense if you want a full-size luxury sedan that emphasizes comfort, technology, and rear-seat space while still keeping a sporty feel. With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive buying opportunities.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience in terms of comfort, performance, and the way the car delivers its luxury mission. The same feedback also points to high maintenance costs, so long-term ownership risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about keeping repair and upkeep expenses in check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, electronics, and signs of deferred maintenance, since this model’s luxury features can be costly to sort out later. It also helps to compare service records carefully so you can separate a well-kept example from one that may look good on paper but needs expensive catch-up work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 466 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,745, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $18,745 sits slightly below last year's $21,442.

That decline suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays closer to the top of the range. The strongest resale outcomes usually come from well-documented, well-maintained examples that stand out in a market where condition matters a lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a luxury flagship with a favorable price trend and solid owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-documented, cleanest example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
