How much does the 2017 BMW 7 Series cost?

There are 500 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxurious experience, powerful performance, smooth ride, spacious interior, and advanced safety technology. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a flagship luxury sedan with a tech-forward personality and a comfort-first feel. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the smooth ride, luxurious feel, and strong performance that many drivers can count on over time. At the same time, some reviewers point to high maintenance costs, so long-term ownership risk is more about expensive upkeep than a lack of appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, electronics, suspension behavior, and signs of expensive maintenance needs. Because this is a luxury sedan with a lot of technology, condition matters as much as mileage when you evaluate a used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to target.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 500 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,333, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $19,389 sits slightly below last year's $22,089.

That decline suggests the market has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if prices stabilize from here. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose compared with a purchase made when prices were higher. Strong condition and a clean history should matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the flagship 7 Series experience at a lower current price and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as the better path when you want a balance of luxury, features, and current market value.
