How much does the 2017 Acura TLX cost?

There are 485 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Acura TLX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, fast performance, and beautiful interior, and they also like its responsive handling in sport mode and ability to absorb bumpy roads. For you, that means this model fits well if you want a premium sport sedan that blends comfort with a more engaging drive. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling driving experience, with praise for its smooth ride and trouble-free comfort over rough pavement. That said, some drivers mention transmission behavior in eco and normal modes, so a used example is best approached with a careful test drive and service-history review. For long-term ownership, your risk is less about the car’s overall appeal and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura TLX?

At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on the transmission behavior, since some owners have reported issues there, and make sure the car drives cleanly in different modes. Focus on overall condition, service records, and how the car feels on a test drive, because those details matter more when you’re shopping a used premium sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 485 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,355, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $15,596 sits slightly below last year's $16,105.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to move a used TLX. The model’s premium positioning and strong owner satisfaction help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. If you keep the car well documented and in clean shape, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,736, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,596 average.
• It emphasizes Acura’s renewed performance-luxury identity.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,407, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $15,596 average.
• It adds a refreshed face and a sportier A-Spec trim.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2016 is the better value play, while the 2018 makes sense if you want the newer styling and added updates and are willing to pay more.
