How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,179 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise the luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and available third row. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that balances family use with upscale comfort. With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful shopping opportunity in the market.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing the MDX as a vehicle they can count on over time. The combination of strong satisfaction and a reputation for long-term usability suggests lower ownership anxiety than you might expect in a used luxury SUV. For used buyers, that usually means less risk of surprise headaches if the vehicle has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete service documentation. Focus your condition check on the cabin, infotainment behavior, and overall maintenance quality, since those areas can shape your day-to-day ownership experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,179 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,167, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,198 sits slightly below last year's $18,533.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its future value. Demand should remain supported by the model's strong owner satisfaction and family-friendly appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,403, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,198 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the stronger overall value proposition, better market support, and a more satisfying ownership profile. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2016 is the better budget-conscious alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
