How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,119 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the MDX for its luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and available third row. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that balances family usefulness with a polished driving experience. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of opportunities to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the MDX’s comfort, safety, and overall quality. The main recurring complaints are about the infotainment system and some interior finish details, not broad mechanical concerns. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still verify condition carefully and focus on how the vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any MDX you’re seriously considering, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks bodywork, electronics, and interior condition, since the infotainment system and cabin quality are common owner concerns. Focus on signs of accident repair, uneven panel gaps, and wear that could affect long-term value.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,148, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,148 sits slightly below last year's $18,630.

That softer pricing suggests the MDX has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market shows that demand is still present, especially for well-kept examples with clean history and strong equipment. If you maintain the vehicle well and keep documentation organized, you can help protect its value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,468, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,148 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2017 is the stronger primary choice because it combines a lower current price than last year with strong owner satisfaction and broad market availability. If your top priority is saving money upfront, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older setup.
