How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,179 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and available third row. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that leans toward comfort and family use rather than a purely sporty personality. 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling package with praise for the comfortable ride, safety features, and overall ownership experience. The repeated positive comments about space, comfort, and confidence behind the wheel suggest this is a model many drivers feel good about keeping for the long haul. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety if you choose a well-maintained example with clean records.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Put inspection priority on bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past repairs that matter more than cosmetic shine. You should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a well-kept MDX is more likely to deliver the comfort and refinement you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,179 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,950, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $16,950 sits slightly below last year's $18,410.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value. Demand should remain supported by the MDX’s strong owner satisfaction and family-friendly appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,564, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $16,950 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall shopping balance, the 2017 is the better primary target because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent deal availability. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
