How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,123 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, while the smooth ride also comes through as a recurring strength. For you, that makes this a compelling choice if you want a three-row luxury SUV with family-friendly practicality and a premium cabin. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a reliable, dependable, and trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with the MDX earning praise for its comfort and quality over time. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the vehicle has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of uneven wear, repair quality, or neglected maintenance. Because this model is valued for comfort, safety, and family use, condition matters as much as mileage when you compare listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,334, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,339 sits slightly below last year's $18,719.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also suggests future resale gains may be more gradual than in a rising market. If you plan to sell later, the best protection is choosing a well-kept example with strong documentation and avoiding vehicles with accident history or visible wear. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when it is time to list the vehicle again.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,729, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,339 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement in a premium family package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around buy, the 2017 is the better starting point because it combines a lower market price than last year, strong owner satisfaction, and meaningful deal availability. If your top priority is saving money upfront, the 2016 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition with solid maintenance records.
