Used 2016 Volvo S60 for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2016 Volvo S60 cost?

Prices have softened 11.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 298 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Volvo S60 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its safety, luxurious interior, comfortable seating, and stylish Scandinavian character. That lines up well with the model’s appeal as a compact luxury sedan for buyers who want comfort, understated design, and a calm daily-driving experience rather than a sporty personality.

With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2016 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with owners describing it as a safe and stylish car they can count on. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is best managed by verifying how the car was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Volvo S60?

At 63.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, repair quality, and signs of uneven wear or poor past repairs.

Because this model is valued for comfort and safety, you should also pay close attention to interior condition and how well the cabin features have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volvo S60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,309, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $10,311 sits slightly below last year's $11,700.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at a strong price and keep the car in excellent condition, you can help protect your eventual resale position. Demand should remain supported by the model’s comfort, safety reputation, and broad owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,913, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $10,311 average.
• It feels refreshed and updated with new Drive-E engines.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability, the 2016 is the better default choice. If your top priority is spending less up front, the 2015 is the more budget-friendly path and still brings a refreshed feel.
