How much does the 2016 Lexus GX cost?

There are 406 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Lexus GX earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious features, spacious interior, and overall reliability, and many also like its power, performance, and off-road readiness. If you want a premium SUV that can handle rough terrain while still feeling upscale inside, this model year fits that use case well. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights its overall reliability, along with a reputation for being dependable and capable over time. That matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for years of ownership rather than a short-term bargain. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that condition can vary widely, so a careful inspection matters even when the model’s reputation is strong.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Lexus GX?

At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with past damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or lower-priced listing. Focus your condition check on signs of prior bodywork, interior wear, and how well the SUV’s luxury and off-road hardware have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 406 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $23,595 sits slightly below last year's $24,697.

That tells you the market has eased, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re thinking about resale, the softer pricing trend suggests future value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Clean history and strong presentation matter more when the broader market is already moving lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a luxury SUV with real off-road ability and strong owner approval, the 2016 is a sensible target year, especially if you can find a clean example with a good history report. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained listing rather than the cheapest one.
