Is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Generally — the 4.25/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, luxury, and comfort, and they also like its stylish design and smooth driving experience. Is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that can be dependable when it is well cared for, with praise centered on its smooth driving experience and overall comfort. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance issues soon after purchase, so long-term ownership risk is still something you should take seriously when shopping used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Land Rover Range Rover?

At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a complex luxury SUV where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, service records, and signs of deferred maintenance, since those details matter more here than they might on a simpler used vehicle.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $18,755 sits slightly below last year's $21,401.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than just the badge alone. Well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones because buyers in this segment tend to be cautious and selective.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2016 is the primary year to target. It makes sense if you want a luxury SUV with real capability and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re especially price-sensitive, broaden your search to nearby years and compare the cleanest, best-documented examples rather than focusing on year alone.
