Is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 4.25/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, luxury, and comfort, and many also like its stylish design and smooth driving experience. That fits well if you want a luxury SUV that still delivers genuine off-road capability and a more upscale cabin. With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in daily use, especially when it comes to comfort and the overall driving experience. At the same time, the review summary also reflects concerns about maintenance costs, which is important for a complex luxury SUV like this one. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is less about whether the vehicle feels special and more about whether prior maintenance has kept expensive issues in check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Land Rover Range Rover?

At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on electrical systems and suspension condition. Because this model is known for higher running costs, focus on signs of deferred maintenance, uneven wear, and any evidence that repairs were delayed.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 742 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,543, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $18,545 sits slightly below last year's $21,258.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy carefully and keep maintenance records, you can help protect value over time. Strong condition and documented care matter especially here because shoppers in this segment tend to be cautious about ownership costs.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, luxury, and capability, the 2016 is a strong place to start, especially if you can verify a clean history and solid maintenance. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
