Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a luxury SUV with a beautifully made cabin, soft-close doors, massaging seats, rear passenger screens, and a long list of comfort features, while still preserving the brand’s go-anywhere capability. It also suits you if you want a flagship SUV with prestige, roominess, and off-road credibility in one package. 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also makes clear that this is a complex vehicle and that maintenance can be costly, with reliability often an unknown quantity. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not just whether the SUV feels luxurious today, but whether prior maintenance and repairs have been handled carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover?

At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on the condition of the cabin, electronics, and overall maintenance records, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been cared for. Focus on examples with clean documentation and consistent upkeep rather than simply chasing the lowest asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and disciplined.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 848 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,803, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $26,803 sits slightly below last year's $31,307.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key advantage is that a well-kept example can still appeal to shoppers who want luxury and capability together. Strong documentation and clean condition matter a lot here, because buyers in this segment tend to be selective.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should buy the 2018 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and high owner satisfaction in this group. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2018 is the better starting point when you want a luxury SUV with strong appeal and a market that has already cooled.
