There are 806 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, style, high-quality fit and finish, smooth handling, and updated features, while also noting that it feels like a reliable and safe choice with good value. Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also highlights it as reliable, with praise for its trouble-free feel, dependable character, and the kind of long-term ownership experience that helps you feel confident in the model. Even so, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and condition, because used luxury SUVs can carry higher repair risk if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any accident damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on the suspension, electronics, and any signs of uneven wear or warning lights, since those areas can be costly if neglected. Focus on overall condition and service records so you can separate a well-kept example from one that may become expensive later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 806 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,951, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $15,952 sits slightly below last year's $17,730.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your future resale position. A clean history and good maintenance will matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a well-liked, value-oriented luxury SUV and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If your priority is maximizing price leverage, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains the stronger all-around pick when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, inventory, and market softness.
