Is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty a good car?

Generally — the 4.2/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its towing capability, strong power, and overall durability, and many also like the comfortable, spacious interior that makes it usable for both work and everyday driving. The truck’s heavy-duty focus still comes through in the overview, so you should expect a serious tow rig rather than a soft-riding daily driver. With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights durability, strong power, and confidence in the truck’s ability to handle demanding use over time. That said, the model’s work-truck nature means condition matters a lot, especially if it has spent its life towing or hauling. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by focusing on maintenance history and how hard the truck has been used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage affected the frame, suspension, or towing equipment. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on signs of heavy-duty use, including wear in the brakes, suspension, tires, and hitch area. It also helps to pay close attention to overall condition, since a truck that has been worked hard can look fine on paper but still need expensive repairs.

If you find a listing below $30,776, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $30,799 sits slightly below last year's $32,762.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if pricing softens further. Even so, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction and reputation for capability help support demand. Well-kept examples with clean histories should hold up better than trucks with visible wear or accident records.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with proven capability, good owner satisfaction, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is finding the lowest possible entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced pick for shoppers who want capability and value without moving too far upmarket.
