Used 2016 Audi Q3 for Sale nearBoston, MA

How much does the 2016 Audi Q3 cost?

Prices have softened 8.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 443 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Audi Q3 earns 4/5 from users and 6/10 from expert testing. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

The Q3’s appeal is its compact size, premium feel, quiet cabin, and nimble handling, especially if you want Audi polish without moving up to a larger, pricier SUV. It also benefits from a substantial discount versus the Q5, which helps explain why it can make sense for buyers focused on payments and entry-level luxury.

The market shows 35.2% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q3’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is described as responsive and refined, and the ride is quiet and isolated, which supports the impression of a well-sorted small luxury SUV. The overview also points to Audi’s familiar polish and high-quality materials, even if the model is restrained on features.

The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest the Q3’s ownership case depends heavily on whether you value the badge, size, and premium feel enough to justify its compromises. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you may end up paying luxury-SUV money for a vehicle that offers less space and fewer features than some cheaper rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi Q3?

At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with limited service documentation. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the equipment level matches what you expect for the price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Q3’s appeal is strongest when you value its premium feel, quiet cabin, panoramic moonroof, heated power front seats, and standard xenon headlamps, but the base setup is sparse enough that you should check whether the features you want are actually present.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder delivers 200 hp with quick, smooth launches from the 6-speed automatic, and the quattro all-wheel-drive setup is the version you’re most likely to find.
• Safety package: The Technology package adds navigation with traffic overlays, Audi Connect, blind-spot monitoring, and a color display; the car also lacks a collision warning system, which is a notable gap.
• Infotainment: Without the Technology package, the cabin is very basic, with a monochrome instrument display; the package adds navigation, Audi Connect, onboard Wi-Fi, and other connected features.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q3 returned 23 mpg in testing and is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city/28 highway.

Which 2016 Audi Q3 trim should I buy?

The 2016 Audi Q3 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the Q3’s core luxury feel at the lowest price. You still get standard xenon headlamps, heated power front seats, a panoramic moonroof, and keyless entry with push-button start, but you should expect a very stripped-down tech experience.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim because it adds the Technology package content that meaningfully improves daily use, including navigation, Audi Connect, blind-spot monitoring, and a color display. If you want the Q3 to feel properly equipped without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This trim layers on the Technology package plus the power tailgate, larger 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, and a 14-speaker Bose stereo. It’s the right pick if you want the most upscale version of the Q3, but the jump is more about comfort and convenience than a major change in capability.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that the Q3 does not offer a collision warning system, which is part of why it no longer qualified for a newer Top Safety Pick award.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still some room to find a strong deal.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,346, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q3's resale value?

The current average of $11,505 sits slightly below last year's $12,534.

That price movement suggests the Q3 has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If the market stays steady, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than one with accident history or missing equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 safe?

The 2016 Audi Q3 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and scored Good in all five crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Q3’s safety content also notes that it no longer qualifies for the newer award because it lacks a collision warning system. The Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring, but the model does not include knee airbags.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2016 Q3 stands out as Audi’s smallest SUV, with a quiet interior, nimble handling, and a substantial discount versus the Q5.

The bottom line: If you want the most affordable path into a small Audi SUV and you value compact size, premium feel, and a quiet ride, the 2016 is the right year to focus on. If you’re shopping mainly on price, you can also use the softer market to compare carefully equipped examples and prioritize the cleanest history and best-maintained listing rather than chasing the lowest sticker alone.
