Used 2015 Subaru Legacy for Sale nearKlamath Falls, OR

How much does the 2015 Subaru Legacy cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 485 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Subaru Legacy a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Subaru Legacy earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its safety, reliability, and smooth power delivery, and they also like its performance in various weather conditions. The overview points to a bigger interior and nicer accommodations, which fits the Legacy’s practical, comfort-first mission. That combination makes it a strong fit if you want an easygoing midsize sedan with a more polished feel than its straightforward styling suggests.

The market also shows 28.9% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find.

Is the 2015 Subaru Legacy reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliability, trouble-free ownership, and minimal maintenance needs even at high mileage. The expert review also points to historically favorable cost of ownership and notes that major industry sources expect the model to serve owners well over time. Subaru’s all-wheel-drive setup and smooth, confidence-inspiring power delivery add to the sense that this is a car you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a neglected example, so condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Legacy?

At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a prior collision. Focus on body condition, repair quality, and whether the car’s safety and driver-assistance features still function properly. Because this model is often bought for comfort and all-weather confidence, you should also pay close attention to how it drives, brakes, and shifts in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base 2.5i models include a full suite of power accessories, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a rear-view camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and smartphone integration, while the 2.5i Premium adds aluminum wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and voice-command capability. The 2.5i Limited adds 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated rear seats, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, while the 3.6R Limited brings a more powerful 6-cylinder engine and Xenon headlamps.
• Powertrain: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine making 175 hp powers the 2.5i models, paired with a Lineartronic CVT that includes a 6-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. Subaru’s Active Torque Split AWD system with Active Torque Vectoring is standard, and the setup is tuned more for comfort and stability than excitement.
• Safety package: Subaru’s EyeSight system includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane-departure warning. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on Limited models and optional on Premium models, so base trims leave you with less advanced driver assistance.
• Infotainment: The Starlink system uses a 7-inch color touchscreen and includes Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming, HD Radio, satellite radio, Internet radio apps, and navigation capability. The interface also supports smartphone-connected features and can be paired with the available Harman Kardon audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter powertrain is rated at 26 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined, though the review’s real-world average was lower.

Which 2015 Subaru Legacy trim should I buy?

The 2015 Subaru Legacy is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R Limited.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5i: This is the value play if you want the Legacy’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the rear-view camera, Bluetooth, smartphone integration, and standard AWD, but you give up the nicer cabin upgrades and advanced safety features found higher up.
• 2.5i Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and voice-command capability without jumping all the way to the Limited’s price and equipment level.
• 2.5i Limited: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete four-cylinder Legacy. It adds leather, heated rear seats, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and the Harman Kardon audio system, making it the strongest all-around pick for comfort and safety equipment.
• 3.6R Limited: Choose this only if you specifically want the 6-cylinder engine and the extra equipment that comes with it. It is the most upscale powertrain choice, but the content here points more toward comfort and equipment than enthusiast appeal.

Limited models include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while Premium models can add those features as options.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Legacy?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 485 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,085, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Legacy's resale value?

The current average of $10,528 sits slightly below last year's $10,574.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate your car’s future value and avoid the sharp depreciation swings that hurt some used sedans. Strong demand for well-kept examples should continue to support pricing, especially for cars with clean history and desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Subaru Legacy safe?

The 2015 Subaru Legacy earns Top Safety Pick recognition from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Subaru’s EyeSight suite includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane-departure warning, and it was upgraded for 2015 with new cameras and smoother operation. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are included on Limited models and optional on Premium models, so safety equipment is not equally distributed across the lineup. The review also notes that Subaru’s ring-shaped reinforcement frame is designed to help protect occupants in a collision.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Subaru’s redesigned cabin, standard AWD, and available EyeSight suite make this year feel more polished and better equipped than the outgoing model.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $8,904, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,528 average.
• It is a practical family sedan with strong value, comfort, safety, and all-weather capability.

The bottom line: If you want the more refined cabin, updated safety tech, and steadier market pricing, the 2015 is the better primary choice. If your priority is spending less up front and you still want a sensible, capable Legacy, the 2014 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative.
